End Social Security, Medicare, and the Welfare-Warfare State!

Filed under: First Insurance Videos — bmg001 @ 11:36 am

11/08/2010 – www.RonPaul.com Last week’s midterm elections have been characterized as a victory for grassroots Americans who are fed up with Washington and the political status quo. In particular, the elections are being touted as a clear indicator that voters demand reductions in federal spending, deficits, and debt. If the new Congress hopes to live up to the expectations of Tea Party voters, however, it faces some daunting choices. For all the talk about pork and waste, the truth is that Congress cannot fix the budget and get our national debt under control by trimming fat and eliminating earmarks for “Bridges to Nowhere.” Real reductions in federal spending can be achieved only by getting to the meat of the federal budget, meaning expenditures in all areas. The annual budget soon will be $5 trillion unless Congress takes serious steps to reduce spending for entitlements, military, and debt service. Yet how many Tea Party candidates who campaigned on a platform of spending cuts talked about Social Security, Medicare, foreign wars, or bond debt? With regard to entitlements, the 2010 Social Security and Medicare Trustees report tells it all. It paints a stark picture of two entitlement programs that cannot be sustained under even the rosiest scenarios of economic growth. No one, regardless of political stripe, can deny the fundamental problem of unfunded future liabilities in both programs. We should understand that Social Security was intended primarily to prevent old

American Academy of Pediatrics on Circumcision

Filed under: First Insurance Videos — bmg001 @ 10:28 am

After reviewing 40 years worth of medical studies, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Task Force on Circumcision concluded that the “potential medical benefits of newborn male circumcision… are not sufficient to recommend routine neonatal circumcision.” While this 1999 policy may be revised soon, it is still the current official recommendation for parents and doctors. This report is also the first time the AAP has acknowledged(after decades of doctors mindlessly repeating the belief that babies don’t feel significant pain) that circumcision without anesthesia is traumatic and if circumcision is to be done, anesthesia should be used. Here are some highlights from the report: Role of Hygiene “there is little evidence to affirm the association between circumcision status and optimum penile hygiene.” STDs including HIV “behavioral factors appear to be far more important than circumcision status.” Penile Cancer “in a developed country such as the United States, penile cancer is a rare disease and the risk of penile cancer developing in an uncircumcised man, although increased compared with a circumcised man, is low.” Urinary Tract Infections “breastfeeding was shown to have a threefold protective effect on the incidence of UTI in a sample of uncircumcised infants. However, breastfeeding status has not been evaluated systematically in studies assessing UTI and circumcision status.” meaning that the earlier UTIs studies results were confounded. Even if their numbers were

3D Helicopter Demo by Dave Herbert (NightFlyyer) plus an “Orientation TEST” for you.

Filed under: First Insurance Videos — bmg001 @ 9:25 am

*Heli 3D TEST. If you can follow my mild 3D flight and can tell exactly what I am doing the entire time with the transmitter sticks, then you are probably ready for 3D helicopters. At this point the learning process will begin again! Watching others fly helps me, so maybe this will help you. That is my goal…..to help so you don’t learn the hard way like I did. Yes the sun does shine here in Iowa sometimes and the first flight today was that way, but the second was a bit windy and cloudy. Hmmm..back to normal! We have to learn to fly in the wind here, or we would never get to fly at all, and with these OLD EYES it is nice to have some sun shining on the model so a guy can see it…..especially without his orange pontoons! LOL. Remember “If it sounds stupid but it works, it ain’t stupid!” Thanks for watching, subscribing, and all your continued support. James Burke : Connections, Episode 7, “The Long Chain”, 1 of 5 (CC)

Filed under: First Insurance Videos — bmg001 @ 7:01 am

Watch Entire Show: www.youtube.com More Shows: www.youtube.com Episode 7 of James Burke’s most well-known series “Connections” which explores the surprising and unexpected ways that our modern technological world came into existence. Each episode investigates the background of usually one particular modern invention and how it came into being. These explorations are an attempt to locate the “connections” between various historical figures who seemingly had nothing to do with each other in their own times, however once connected, these same figures combined to produce some of the most profound impacts on our modern day world; in a “1+1=3″ type of way. It is this type of investigation that is the core idea behind the Knowledge Web project, whereby sophisticated software is being developed to attempt to discover these subtle interconnections automatically. TTC VLOG #5 Part 1 (Answering Questions)

Filed under: First Insurance Videos — bmg001 @ 5:58 am

Answering Questions, Plus more. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS FOR JOEL OR LUCY AND DON’T SEE YOUR ANSWER HERE PLEASE LET ME KNOW SO I CAN ADD IT TO BE ANSWERED IN THE NEXT VIDEO BY ONE OR BOTH OF US. June 30, 2008 Questions that will be answered on TTC VLOG #5: 1. I’m currently registering for the cord blood registry to store the baby’s stem cells just in case he/she gets sick. *god forbid* Did you or have you ever thought of doing that? It’s kind of ‘biological insurance’ and it can be used not just for the baby but for immediate family too…so god forbid another child of yours gets sick. my fiance had leukemia when he was 5. He lived in Germany and was exposed to radiation i think too..*it was the 80’s there was something major but i forgot what it was called* so when i told him i had always wanted to store the baby’s cord blood…i mean they throw away the cord anyways… he looked over the info and thought…that might be a good idea. 2.What are your views on the subject? 3. Hi Lucy can you show me how a pill looks? I want to know if there gel tabs or what not. 4. My question actually has nothing to do w/ ttc, but is there anyway I could see the back of your hair, if you don’t mind? Your haircut is very cute, and looks a lot like one I’ve been looking for:) Thank you!! 5.does your has soy in it -or- do you know any that doesnt have soy? Please suggest. Thanks a bunch!
